The Akwa Ibom First Lady, who was a pillar of support to Governor Umo Eno in their 38 years of fruitful marriage, died in London on September 26, 2024, at the age of 57.

Following the death of the Akwa Ibom First Lady, the Akwa Ibom State Directorate on Diaspora Matters invites members of the diaspora community to send their condolence messages to be compiled in a compendium and presented to His Excellency on the funeral day.

Those individuals and organizations from across the globe wishing to express their condolences can do so now.

Late Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno was a virtuous woman with a vision of impacting lives.

Her legacy of advocating for women inclusion in political leadership at grassroot administration will remain a great milestone in the political development of Akwa Ibom State and actualization of the United Nations sustainable development goals with reduction of gender based violence cases in view.

She will be missed by her beloved family and forever remain in the hearts of many well-wishers across the globe.
