It had all the ecclesiastical niceties and spiritual potency of God’s Party. It was indeed His own party when believers from across Akwa Ibom State converged on the International Christian Worship Centre, a pleasant abode for faith-based connections and congregational ties for the worship of the Almighty God. It was a Three-Day Prayer Summit to usher in and commit to the second year of a Governor whose first year in office came with an awesome and well-commended impressive performance.
That Heavenly convergence was a well-thought-out program with the theme “Glory to Glory” organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Akwa Ibom State Chapter, headed by Rev Dr Chris Nyong, and the Fathers in Faith for Good Governance led by Prelate Isaiah Issong, in collaboration with the State Government led by Governor Umo Eno among the enthusiastic worshippers.
It took a curious dimension as Pastor Eno activated his ecclesiastical connections for the outpouring of omniscient anointing on the complex waters of governance to survive the raging tempest with the assurance and confidence of moving Akwa Ibom State from Glory to Glory.
Or what else could have been said of a program that Daddy G. O himself, the charismatic Enoch, an inspirational Joshua, and an empathetic Emmanuel preached? It is not possible for God not to listen to His friends (Enoch and Joshua), let alone fail to honour the words of His son (Emmanuel).
Evidently, God is with Akwa Ibom State. Governor Umo Eno’s connection with God has been exposed as his secret to success in earlier life and now in governance. It is a connection in God’s own family!
Organized by God’s own people in God’s own State for a Governor who is God’s own man who began his administration in 2023 with a partnership deal with God, having seen the dividends of that worthwhile relationship within his first year in office,
Governor Eno went again to fetch blessings from God’s own fountain so that Akwa Ibom would continue to be blessed to move from glory to glory.
Is there anything that is put in God’s able hands that has ever seen decay? It is not possible! The case of Akwa Ibom State under Governor Umo Eno is not and cannot be an exception.
Here lies the thrust of the three-day prayer summit which had three different renowned guest preachers for the three different days, all of whom had a point of agreement. Different speakers joined together by one theme – God’s invisible hand is visibly in charge of Akwa Ibom State through the golden hands of Governor Umo Eno, hence there should not be any weak link in that chain of destiny for the people of a State named after God himself.
On the first day of that glorious buggy for the Lord Himself, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and erudite mathematician, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, commended Governor Eno for beginning his second year in office by handing the affairs of the State to God. Adeboye was not economical with words in acknowledging that the governor had first class in his first year in office, advising every individual to borrow a leaf from the governor by always relying on God.
Daddy Adeboye said Akwa Ibom State is indeed moving from glory to glory, and urged the governor and other relevant stakeholders to continue to commit their programmes and projects to God and remain fervently prayerful at all times to ensure the actualization of the vision of the ARISE Agenda of the administration.
There was a Godly corroboration of this assertion of Pastor Adeboye by Rev (Dr.) Joshua Telena of the Shepherd House of Abuja, who fed the flock on Day 2 of the Prayer Summit. He noted that a major sign that God loves Akwa Ibom State is the calibre of leader He has given them in Governor Eno, who has raised the bar of good governance and changed the narrative in leadership, cruising the State on autopilot in development while maintaining safety standards by not derailing from the lane of God.
He predicted that Akwa Ibom State would be a modern equivalent of the biblical rejected stone that would turn out to be the chief cornerstone, as God’s blueprint for the State continues to be implemented by the leading light governor of the State, Pastor Umo Eno. According to him, this will manifest across sectors, and what is already seen and celebrated will be the tip of the iceberg when the larger picture is beheld. Of course, that is the crux of moving from glory to glory.
Telena was telling all that the partnership of Government and Church is germane to the growth and development of the society, which is very pronounced in Akwa Ibom State, and urged all partners in the Akwa Ibom project never to rest on their oars, or to contemplate complacency. According to him, God has already hinted to Akwa Ibom State that the glory of the latter days shall be greater than the former.
To him, prayer is not just an ordinary key to unlocking the vaults of all good things for the State, but a golden key! Of course, a golden administration begets a golden key. And who else is more qualified to handle the golden key than the golden governor, who already, everything he has touched has turned to gold?
And on the third day, God was with Akwa Ibom through Apostle Dr Emmanuel Kure. He said the chapter of the book of Akwa Ibom State written by Governor Umo Eno will make the book a top-shelf title, as the content will make Akwa Ibom State a model for good governance because of the pace and passion of Governor Umo Eno.
He poured out prophetic releases with the potency and urgency of literally restructuring the destinies of the people commensurate with the rising and shining story of the State.
Among other vessels of God’s ministration at the program was Bishop Emmah Isong of the Christian Central Chapel International, as well as mesmerizing music ministrations from the likes of Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and Aity Dennis. It was an unmissable encounter with the King of Kings!
It was the climax of a program that heralded a new season of a State manned by a man with the crown of glory to usher in the untold success story of Akwa Ibom State.
And then the man for all seasons, the rallying point and leader of the pack, Commander of Brigade Akwa Ibom, God’s vessel for unveiling the thriller version of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Umo Eno, was full of thanks for the organizers and facilitators for providing the steam and flame of the light of that partnership with the Lord, a partnership that has worked!
Governor Eno, a pastor, was obviously in familiar terrain, and one could easily decipher that he, too, is filled with anointing, except that he is deploying his anointing wholesale into the development of Akwa Ibom State, without shifting focus from the driver of his course, God; the very reason he saluted the fathers in the faith who joined the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, to hold the three-day prayer summit. He also thanked everyone who was part of the success of the program, and indeed Akwa Ibom people and all worshippers.
It was a sermon with the instructive memory verse that Governor Umo Eno’s connection with God through God’s own family is what has saved his administration, and the three-day program extolled the five-star performance of the governor but put it to all that God should be held responsible for all the good things that are happening in Akwa Ibom State, and the ones that are still sailing in.
Wouldn’t you rather vote for the Umo Eno’s kind of connection? A connection with God the Father! It was not just a three-day prayer summit but more like God’s own party! It was indeed a celebration of God’s grace and love for Akwa Ibom State in all seasons!
Happy Sunday, good people!
