Gov Eno’s ARISE Compassionate Home Lights-Up Mournful Mood in Essien Udim Community

Two days after the people of Ikot Uko Etor village in Essien Udim LGA were thrown into mourning, following the death of an illustrious citizen of the area, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, today lightened their mood, handing over a tastefully furnished two-bedroom bungalow and 500,000 Naira business grant to a widow, Mrs. Adamma Mathew.

Governor Eno, represented by Commissioner for Finance, Dr Nsikan Linus Nkan, while commiserating with the people of the area, reminded them to utilize their agrarian advantage by deepening their participation in agriculture to increase the availability of food and shore up the area’s socioeconomic fortunes.

In his overview of the project, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Services, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, described the facility as a well-furnished two-bedroom bungalow with modern amenities.

Stakeholders in the Local Government including the Commissioner for Power Engr. Camillus Umoh, Transition Committee Chairman, Dr Anthony Luke and Hon. Sunyiekekere Inokon applauded the Governor’s compassionate disposition and performance, assuring him of massive support in his second term.
