I met with Female Stakeholders from all the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State this morning, to discuss the latest development ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Elections.
My dear Husband Pastor Umo Eno has raised the bar in giving more women the opportunity to serve in the Local Government structure, thereby reaffirming his Gender Sensitive attributes and Akwa Ibom women have happily reiterated their commitment and unflinching support to the Governor and the PDP at all levels..
We have work to do and I’ve directed my Coordinators to meet with other critical stakeholders immediately in their Local Government Areas and the different wards to begin the process of bringing forward qualified women to vie for the different positions, taking cognizance of the zoning arrangements.
