The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, today, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, marked the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration with the laying of wreath at the State Cenotaph, Behind the House of Assembly, AKHA, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, after 55 years of the end of the Civil War between Nigeria and the defunct Biafran Government which took the lives Officers and men during service in defense of the nation.
The Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration, witnessed the laying of wreath by the Governor, members of the Armed Forces as well as the Nigerian Legion.
The event saw in attendance, the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Sen. Akon Eyakenyi, PhD, the SSG, Prince Enobong Uwah, Speaker, AKHA, Rt. Hon Udeme Otong, State Chief Judge, Justice Ekaette Obot, Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Council of Traditional Rulers, HSA – Religious Matters, Rev Dr Ndueso Ekwere Jp, and members of the Nigerian Legion who also paid their last respect to the fallen Heroes.
