AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNOR’S CUP 2023/2024 FINAL: AN INVITATION TO ATTEND
The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, Sir Monday Ebong Uko, wishes to inform sports stakeholders and indeed the general public that the closing ceremony and final of the 2023/2024 Akwa Ibom state Governor’s Cup will be held, with HIS EXCELLENCY, PASTOR UMO ENO, GOVERNOR OF AKWA IBOM STATE, in attendance as Special Guest of Honour, as follows:
Date: Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Venue: Uyo Township stadium, Uyo.
Time: 3:00pm
Final match: Uyo Vs Ikot Abasi
The final will be preceded by the third place play-off match between Urue-offong/Oruko and Essien Udim at 12:00pm as well as a ceremonial march-past by all 31 LGAs of the state.
Consequently, the Honourable Commissioner invites the wife of the Governor – Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno, the Deputy Governor – Her Excellency, Distinguished Senator (Dr) Akon Eyakenyi, the Speaker of Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly – the Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong, Akwa Ibom state Chief Judge – Hon. Justice Ekaette Obot, members of the national and state Assemblies, the state chapter Chairman of PDP – Rt. Hon. Elder Aniekan Akpan, Secretary to state Government – Prince Enobong Uwah, Head of the state civil service, Elder Effiong Essien, members of Akwa Ibom state Executive Council, the state Chairman of ALGON and all Local Government Transition Committee Chairmen, appointees of Government and all members of the state’s political class, the leadership and members of the state traditional institution, the clergy, the men, women and youths of our state and indeed the general public to attend.
