ADVISORY TO AKWA IBOM INDIGENES IN THE MIDDLE EAST

In light of the rapidly escalating tensions and security developments across Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, the Gulf States, and Yemen, the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters extends its sincere concern and solidarity to all Akwa Ibom indigenes currently residing in the Middle East.

The Akwa Ibom State Government is closely monitoring the evolving situation through relevant diplomatic and international channels. The safety, welfare, and well-being of our citizens abroad remain of utmost priority to the Government.

Accordingly, all Akwa Ibom indigenes in the affected regions are strongly advised to:

– Remain calm, vigilant, and limit movement by staying indoors where possible.

– Strictly comply with all safety directives and advisories issued by host country authorities.

– Register promptly with the nearest Nigerian Embassy or Consulate.

– Keep emergency contacts readily accessible at all times.

– Rely only on verified and official information channels for updates.

In the event of any emergency or urgent need for assistance, affected persons are advised to contact the Nigerian Mission in their respective countries without delay.
