AKWA IBOM STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR, SENATOR AKON EYAKENYI PHD WAS PRESENT AT ORON DEVELOPMENT UNION 2024 ANNUAL CONVENTION IN LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK.

As a daughter of the Oro nation, representing the Akwa Ibom State Governor as the Special Guest of honour gave her a great opportunity to connect better with her kinsmen in the diaspora community. Also the event present a medium of building diaspora trust towards homeland development, as the implementation of the His Excellency’s ARISE agenda demands collective effort of all indigenes.

The 99 years old union has been a rally point for articulate conversations on progressive development of the Oro ethnic group of Akwa Ibom State. A union established in 1925 and till date fostering the culture preservation and economic advancement of the Oro nation.
