Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved the appointment of Sir Peter James Akpan as Statistician-General, Akwa Ibom State Bureau of Statistics
Until his appointment, Sir Peter Akpan, a Professional Statistician, an MSc (Statistics) with option in Experimental Design & Analysis from the University of Calabar, was the State Director of Statistics at the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Economic Development.
He is currently the Vice Chairman, the Chartered Institute of Statisticians of Nigeria (CISON), Akwa Ibom State Chapter.
