GOV ENO AWARDS PRINCE UMOEKPO ‘BEST PERFORMING STAFF’ OF THE MINISTRY OF HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS

Prince (Elder) NsikanAbasi Umoekpo, Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Humanitarian Affairs, has shattered expectations and set an unprecedented benchmark for excellence.

In recognition of his relentless dedication and unmatched performance, Governor Umo Eno has honoured him as the Best Performing Staff of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and awarded him one million naira to further encourage his outstanding contributions

With precision and an ironclad commitment to excellence, Prince Umoekpo has ensured that humanitarian interventions of Governor Eno are not just symbolic gestures, but tangible, strategic and life-changing efforts

The award was presented at the ARISE Happy Hour and Evening of Rewards, held on February 6, 2025, at the Amphitheatre, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.

Crowning the night was a spectacular live performance by Africa’s Highlife King, Flavour Nabania, along with a lineup of other talented artists from Akwa Ibom.

Humbled by the recognition, Prince Umoekpo expressed deep gratitude to Governor Eno and described his leadership as a model of service. He added that the award will inspire him and the Humanitarian Affairs team to do even more.

“I dedicate this award and grant to the Almighty God, my daddy who always pampers me, Governor Umo Eno, my dear wife Diamond, who supports me always, prays for me, and keeps me well enough to do this work.

I also dedicate it to the humanitarian team, the always supportive PA to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs Mfon Israel and to my brother, Barr Morgan Ekanem. Thanks a million,” he said.
