GOV ENO CELEBRATES AKWA IBOM MEN ON FATHERS DAY

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has celebrated the men of the State, on the occasion of Fathers Day.

His message, released by the Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, said, “on behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I applaud and celebrate our wonderful and resourceful fathers both here and in the Diaspora, for the great work they are doing to keep the family unit together.

“You have striven even in the face of challenging times, which we are hopeful will be over soon, to play your role as heads of your families, providing for their comfort and instilling the moral foundation and the ideals of right and wrong for our children and we celebrate you deeply on this day that is dedicated to honouring you.

“We will continue to work hard to provide the soft infrastructure that will make it easier for you to keep playing this biblically-ordained responsibilities.

“In our third year in office, we will continue to provide the conducive environment for our children to study and be shaped to compete with their peers all over the world; same with healthcare and recreational facilities for families which our Arise Resorts is aimed to achieve.

“I know you will continue to steer our children to stay away from anti- social tendencies while focusing their attention on developing themselves for the opportunities tomorrow may bring.

“Congratulations once again and Happy Fathers Day!”
