In a demonstration of his commitment to uplifting the lives of vulnerable families across the State, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, today handed over a fully-furnished bungalow to a vulnerable family in Afaha Obio Ewang Village in Itak, Ikono Local Government Area.
Represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh, the Governor presented the house documents, keys and a business support grant of 500,000 Naira to the beneficiary, Mr Isaac Edet, to help them start a new life and urged Ikono people to hope for more goodies in the Golden Era.
In the project overview, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Services, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, described the house as a two-bedroom fully-furnished bungalow with a kitchen and 24-hour solar-powered lighting and borehole.
The beneficiary, Mr Isaac Edet, his wife, Cornelia and the family, in overwhelming gratitude, narrated their experience under a debasing shelter that kept collapsing on them and prayed God’s blessings on the Governor for transforming their lives.
