GOV ENO SET TO HANDOVER 150 FREE HOUSING UNITS AT GRACE ESTATE TO PUBLIC SERVANTS – COMMENCES TRANSPARENT SELECTION PROCESS

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno is set to handover 150 fully finished homes at Grace Estate, Ring Road lll off Idoro road within Uyo Capital City to public servants in the State.

Recall that Governor Umo Eno recently commissioned Grace Estate built for public servants in line with his avowed commitment to providing affordable housing in the State.

A circular from the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien with reference no 2/2024 calls for expression of interest from interested and confirmed public servants on salary grade levels 01 to 08 to participate to bid for a free home each upon payment of the sum of N50,000(Fifty Thousand Naira) as expression of interest fee into the designated government account.

The Head of Service further noted that each participant in the selection process is expected to “ present evidence of payment of expression of interest fee and photocopies of letter of confirmation of appointment to obtain an application form at Akpan Isemin Hall, Governor’s Office, complete same and return within two(2) weeks from the date of the publication of this circular’. adding that winners will emerge in an open draw at a date to be announced.

Elder Essien who appreciated the Governor for the kind gesture of releasing houses to workers free of charge stated that the show of magnanimity by the Governor goes a long way to demonstrate his friendly disposition .

He further urged Public Servants in the State to take advantage of of the huge and unprecedented opportunity given by the Governor to make them home owners and continue to give their best in serving the State.
