Ibiono Ibom takes the stage today at the Christmas Unplugged Village Square with a heritage rooted in the ancient Ibom Kingdom. The LGA is one of the oldest clan territories in Akwa Ibom, historically linked to the Ibibio nation and shaped by strong communal traditions, ancestral lineage, and longstanding village structures.
Created as a Local Government Area in 1991, Ibiono Ibom is made up of many historic settlements including Oko Ita, Idoro, Ikpa, Ibiaku, and others. Its people have maintained a reputation for unity, agriculture, craftsmanship, and deep cultural values passed down through generations.
Today’s performance will feature traditional dances, symbolic masquerades, chants, crafts, and displays that reflect the history and identity of the Ibiono Ibom people.
Join us at Unity Park, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, as Ibiono Ibom presents a full showcase of culture and ancestral pride at Christmas Unplugged 3.0.
