IWAUDOFIA VISITS IKA, SAYS GOVERNOR ENO IS GOD’S DIVINE GIFT TO AKWA IBOM PEOPLE

…as Ika people reaffirm support for Gov. Umo Eno’s administration

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroots Mobilization, Comrade Aniefiok Iwaudofia, has described Governor Umo Eno as God’s divine gift to Akwa Ibom people and a leader whose mission is to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the most rural communities in the state.

The SSA stated this on Thursday while leading the Grassroot team on a sensitisation visit to Ika Local Government Area.

Iwaudofia further emphasized that the Governor’s mission is to bridge the gap between the urban and rural areas, ensuring that development is taken to the doorstep of every community, no matter how remote.

The Governor’s Aide who engaged with the people of Ika, listening to their needs and concerns, assured them that the current administration is dedicated to creating opportunities for economic growth, improving healthcare, education, and infrastructure in all parts of the state as encapsulated in the Arise Agenda.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Ika Local Government for supporting Governor Umo Eno during the 2023 governorship election in the state, stating that his visit was not for campaign purposes, but rather, to update the residents on government’s programmes and initiatives, listen to their challenges, and communicate same to the Governor.

On his part, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurial Development, Mr. Ime Uwah used the opportunity to enlighten the people of Ika Local Government about the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme anchored by the Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Centre (Ibom-LED).

He further encouraged the people to apply and be part of the programme which he said will enable them to access grants to boost their businesses.

“Information is power. If I don’t bring information to you, you won’t know what is going on. The Team Lead at Ibom-LED is from Ika Local Government Area. As such, we will ensure that the people of Ika are carried along in the entrepreneurial drive of the current administration,” Uwah stated.

Delivering a vote of thanks, the Dean of Ward Personal Assistants in Ika Local Government Area, Pastor Aniefon Isaac Akwat, described the Governor as a compassionate and knowledgeable leader who has touched lives across boards, adding that the people are solidly behind the Governor throughout the remaining seven years of his administration.

Earlier, during a brief reception and inspection of various developmental projects constructed by the Transition Chairman at the Council, the Chairman, Barr. Utibe Nwoko noted that Ika people from all political parties had unanimously resolved to support Governor Umo Eno for a second term, adding that, the Governor won’t need to campaign in Ika Local Government.

The well-attended event featured an interactive session, goodwill messages, unanimous declaration of support for Governor Umo Eno’s administration and inspection of various developmental projects including an electricity project, perimeter fencing, renovation of the town hall, borehole project, fertilizer depo undertaken by the Transition Chairman, Barr. Utibe Nwoko.

Others in attendance include; All Ward Personal Assistants led by the Dean, Pastor Aniefon Akwat, community elders, youth leaders, women leaders, men and party faithful.
