Nigeria and Azerbaijan established formal diplomatic relations on March 11, 1992, and continue to build ties through multilateral platforms, economic cooperation, and educational exchanges.

Our two nations coordinate closely within international organizations, including the the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), and the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.

The engagement reflects the shared commitment of Nigeria and Azerbaijan to deepening their longstanding diplomatic ties, expanding cooperation across key sectors, and strengthening coordination on issues of mutual interest within the international community.
