A leadership coach and Canada-based Nigerian, Dr Peter Adeleke, has been shortlisted for the 2026 Young Canadian Change-Makers Award in recognition of his work in leadership development, youth empowerment, mentorship and community impact.
Adeleke disclosed this in a statement on his Facebook page, which was sighted by Diaspora Tales on Thursday.
He said the recognition was meaningful because it reflected his commitment to global leadership education and developing leaders, noting that his mission over the years had been to help people recognise their potential, create opportunities for growth and use leadership as a tool for meaningful change.
He added that his experiences had shown him that leadership could transform lives when it was rooted in service and impact, expressing gratitude for being named among the shortlisted nominees for their contributions across the country.
Part of the statement read, “Over the years, my mission has remained simple: to develop leaders, inspire people to recognize their potential, create opportunities for others to grow, and use leadership as a tool for meaningful change.
“I am thrilled to celebrate the 2026 Young Canadian Change-Makers Award shortlist nominees, an inspiring group of young leaders driving meaningful change across Canada. Seeing my name among these changemakers is a moment I do not take for granted.”
