NSIT UBIUM COUNCIL CHAIRMAN IMMORTALIZES LATE FIRST LADY: NAMES ICT COMPLEX IN HER HONOR

***As Gov Umo Eno Lauds Transition Chairman’s Sterling Leadership

A state-of-the-art Patience Umo Eno Information and Communication Technology Centre has been inaugurated in Nsit Ubuim Local Government Area.

The ICT centre which has a capacity to cater for over a hundred people, also boosts of offices within the building at the Council secretariat.

Inaugurating the project, Governor Umo Eno who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, described the project as a milestone achievement by the outgoing administration of Architect Iniobong Orok.

He added that the centre named after the departed First Lady of the State has immortalised the mother of the state who was known for her caring and loving nature.

He further urged that the indigenes of the area take advantage of th facility to boost their knowledge in the information and technology sector, saying life-changing opportunities abound in the sector.

On his part, Architect Iniobong Orok, Chairman Transition Committee, Nsit Ubium flanked by wife Emem, said in his remark that, he built the ICT centre to encourage the youths of the area to tap into the huge potentials of the sector, stating that Nsit Ubium would soon become a hub in the tech industry.

The outgoing Chairman thanked Governor Umo Eno for the opportunity granted him to serve in his administration, praying that God would continually protect and comfort him in his moments of grief.
