STAKEHOLDERS RALLY SUPPORT FOR GOV ENO’S COMPASSIONATE HOME BENEFICIARY IN ORUK ANAM

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno’s compassionate disposition yesterday struck an infectious chord in Oruk Anam LGA as stakeholders of the area mobilized over a million Naira as business support fund and household items for the beneficiary of the ARISE Compassionate Home, Madam Mercy Ime Rubbie, in Ikot Ntuen.

The support of Oruk Anam stakeholders came as the widow who hitherto lived in a very dilapidated home took delivery of a fully furnished two-bedroom bungalow with kitchen, solar lighting and borehole as well as a business support grant of 500,000 Naira from the Governor.

The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh while handing over keys to the new apartment to Madam Mercy said the Compassionate Homes initiatives was in fulfilment of the Governor’s campaign promises adding that, his administration will do more for Oruk Anam.

Madam Rubbie, overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude, thanked the Governor for the new home and business support grant. She prayed for God’s unending blessings on the Governor and his family.

On his part, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Services, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, announced that the Ikot Ntuen home is the first of several compassionate homes to be built in Oruk Anam, reaffirming the Governor’s commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the society.

Stakeholders in the area, including Mrs. Idongesit Etiebiet, Hon. Sampson Idiong and Dr. Kingsley Frank, applauded the Governor’s compassionate disposition, describing the gesture as life-touching and a game-changer for vulnerable families across the State. They unanimously assured the Governor of continuous support.
