Lydia Idem is a fund manager and investment advisor who has been an investor and trader for over 25 years. She has managed millions of dollars in assets in both public and private investments. She has skillfully built asset management infrastructures from the ground up to professionally manage multi-stage, multi-asset investments for other investors. Lydia has been a special guest on Yahoo! Finance and other large media networks. She's been featured in FORBES Magazine and CNNMoney for her contributions as a woman in finance.

Lydia is the COO of LoftyInc Capital, a venture capital firm that has been investing in African ecosystems for over 14 years. With an extensive portfolio and outsized returns to investors, LoftyInc Capital is leading the vanguard in capital formation and VC investing in Africa. Before joining LoftyInc, Lydia founded FM Capital Group, a registered investment advisory firm based in Silicon Valley.

Lydia has a Master of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University. She has been sought after to sit on the boards of directors because of her strong advocacy skills, networks in public education, and her financial acumen and oversight. She sat on both the executive and finance committees for the Pasadena Educational Foundation, one of the largest education foundations in California. In her current role on the Board of the New Haven Schools Foundation, she serves on the finance committee overseeing the Foundation’s investment strategy and portfolio.
