THE OFFICE OF THE SSA TO THE GOV (DIASPORA MATTERS) LAUNCHES ITS MONTHLY NEWSLETTER DEDICATED TO FACILITATING FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS WHILE CLOSING THE DIASPORA TRUST GAP WITH UPDATES ON POLICIES AND PROGRAMS.

The SSA to the Akwa Ibom State Gov on Diaspora Matters is pleased to announce the launch of *Akwa Ibom Diaspora Round-Up,* a monthly newsletter dedicated to providing updates on policies and programs of the administration of Governor Umo Eno, in the anniversary month of September 2025.

This publication is spearheaded by an editorial team led by Hon. Linda Akon Umoh, Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to the Governor, who also serves as the Akwa Ibom State Diaspora Focal Point Officer.

Akwa Ibom Diaspora Round-Up will provide a broad range of updates, including policies and programs of the Governor Umo Eno-led administration, as well as create an opportunity to learn about the diaspora profiles, event news, and insightful tips. The newsletter will offer original reporting, features, and commentary across culture, investment, tourism, politics, innovation, and more.

It also serves as a dedicated space for sustaining conversations aimed at closing the diaspora trust gap, both globally and locally. It draws on the journalism of the Akwa Ibom State Directorate on Diaspora Matters’ expanded network of correspondents in Africa, the USA, the UK, South America, the Caribbean, and elsewhere.

According to Hon. Linda Akon Umoh, lead editorial team member:

“The agenda for Akwa Ibom Diaspora Round-Up is to create a regular space for readers where a wide range of stories is covered without being limited to the news cycle. We will discuss culture and shared experiences but will also not shy away from challenging or intimate subjects. Featuring original analysis, reporting, commentary, and interviews in subsequent editorials… this is a newsletter for anyone interested in the new frontier market of Akwa Ibom State which holds high stakes for discerning investors in energy, agriculture, tourism, health, and manufacturing.”
