Welcome to September: A Month of Gratitude

September is here—a month to reflect, appreciate, and give thanks.

As Akwa Ibom State enters this special month, we give thanks for God’s grace, the journey so far, and the remarkable progress recorded across the state.

September also holds special significance as we prepare to commemorate the anniversary of our beloved state on September 23rd. It is a time to celebrate our rich heritage, the resilience of our people, and the milestones achieved throughout our journey.

We extend our appreciation to Akwa Ibomites at home and in the diaspora whose talents, investments, partnerships, expertise, and goodwill continue to contribute to the growth and development of our state.

The story of Akwa Ibom is a story written by its people—at home and across the world. Every contribution, no matter how great or small, forms part of the collective effort to build a stronger and more prosperous state.

As we celebrate this month with grateful hearts, we look ahead with renewed hope and a commitment to stronger connections, deeper partnerships, and greater collaboration.

We are grateful for how far we have come, thankful for where we are today, and hopeful for the greater future ahead.

Happy New Month from the Office of the SSA Diaspora Matters, Akwa Ibom State.
