…Invites Next-of-Kin (s) from Ibeno, Ini, Esit Eket, Nsit Ubium, Oruk Anam, Ibesikpo Asutan, and Urue-Offong/Oruko LEAs for final clearance
The Akwa Ibom State Government has completed arrangements for the commencement of refund and payment of outstanding 7.5% Contributory Pension to beneficiaries in the State.
This second tranche of the refund is programmed to capture beneficiaries in 7 Local Education Authorities (LEAs) including those from Etinan, Ibiono Ibom, Ika, Ikot Ekpene, Mkpat Enin, and Okobo.
As stated in a Public Service Announcement signed by the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, dated, Tuesday, 25th March, 2025, beneficiaries from Ikot Ekpene LEA are to meet with officials for the exercise at Primary School, Ikot Obong Edong, opposite UBA, Ikot Ekpene. Similarly , beneficiaries from Etinan LEA, will meet at John Kirk Memorial Primary School, Etinan , while those from Ibiono Ibom are to visit Primary School, Ikot Uneke, Ibiono Ibom on the same day as the exercise will commence from 10:00 o’clock in the morning respectively at the scheduled venues.
Beneficiaries from Ika LEA are slated to converge at St. Augustine Secondary School, Urua Inyang, Ika on Tuesday, 1st April, 2025 from 10am in the morning.
The announcement also directs beneficiaries from Mkpat Enin LEA to meet at Q. I. C. Primary School, Mkpat Enin Urban; those from Okobo LEA are to meet at Community Secondary School, Odobo, Okobo, from 10am.
In a similar development, Next-of-Kin(s) of deceased beneficiaries from Ibeno, Ini, Esit Eket, Nsit Ubium, Oruk Anam, Ibesikpo Asutan, and Orue-Offong/ Oruko Local Education Authorities (LEAs), have been invited to report at Akpan Isemin Hall, Government House, Uyo on Thursday, 27th March, 2025 for final clearance and refund of outstanding 7.5% Contributory Pension of their deceased relations.
The invitation also advice the affected Next-of-Kin (s) to come to the venue of their final clearance with service documents of their deceased beneficiaries, letter of administrative, and other means of identification.
The Head of Civil Service as contained in the release also requests beneficiaries and Next-of-Kin(s) from other LEAs yet to be scheduled to exercise patient while waiting for their turn.
