INFO COMMISSIONER INSPECTS ONGOING PROJECTS AHEAD OF TOWN HALL MEETING IN ABAK FED.CONSTITUENCY

Ahead of preparations for the upcoming Town Hall meeting in Abak Federal Constituency, scheduled for March 8, 2025, Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Aniekan Umanah, today embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing projects in Abak Federal Constituency.

Umanah expressed gratitude to Governor Umo Eno for his impactful projects in the area, noting that the people are already enjoying the benefits of good governance. He praised the Governor for improving the lives of the people, particularly through the construction of the Hospital road, Manta-Ukpom road, and the 16 km Abak Itenge road.

The Commissioner urged the people to support and cooperate with contractors to ensure timely completion of the projects, which is providing employment opportunities for youths who are being engaged by the contractors.

The inspected projects include the Hospital road, Manta-Ukpom road, the Abak Itenge road handled by Benest Technical Services Ltd, and the Palm oil mill under the AKSG-NFWP. Compassionate Home and Model Health center, Abiakana in Ika, 1.5km internal roads, Ikot Udom, Ika LGA, 15km Ikot Esu- Azumini Road, Ika, Model Health Center, Etim Ekpo, Model Health centers, Ika

The team also made a stop over to assess the progress of work at the ARISE Home for the Elderly under construction at Ekepmiong Itak in Ikono.

In the entourage were the SSA to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Dr.Essien Ndueso, SSA on ICT Solomon Eyo, and SA on Electronic Media, Mr.Samuel Ayara.
