Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has sent his hearty congratulations to mothers on the occasion of this year’s “Mother’s Day.”
In a goodwill message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno, saluted mothers, especially those from Akwa Ibom State, for the enduring foundation of morality, love, care and industry they have instilled in their children.
“ Our mothers are the epitome of excellence, highly industrious, forward- looking and have contributed heavily to the the growth of our family unit as the essential glue that binds our society.
“Today, some are the breadwinners and we salute and honour them for this great role they are playing with grace, faith and love.
“Let me pay special tribute to the two women who have played key roles in shaping me to becoming who I am today: my mother and my wife.
“ Even though they are no longer with us, physically, I will always treasure and appreciate them for the love, prayers and support I received from them.
“To the mothers of Akwa Ibom State, I wish you a happy Mother’s Day!
“May God bless and continue to guide you in all you do.”
