Kigali, Rwanda – In a bid to bolster its agricultural sector and drive economic growth, Akwa Ibom State has dispatched a high-powered delegation to the African Food Forum, underway in Kigali, Rwanda.
Led by Governor Pastor Umo Eno, the delegation comprises top officials, including Prince Enobong Uwah, Secretary to the State Government; Dr. Offiong Offor, Commissioner for Agriculture; Sir Charles Udoh, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism; Mr. Emem Bob, Commissioner for Economic Development; and Pastor Imoabasi Jacob, Managing Director of Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP).
The delegation’s participation in the forum is aimed at leveraging global partnerships, accessing new markets, and tapping into cutting-edge technologies to transform the state’s agricultural landscape.
This move by the State delegation speaks volume about Akwa Ibom State being poised to become a major player in the regional agricultural sector, as this delegation is a critical step towards achieving that goal.
The African Food Forum has drawn stakeholders from across the continent, offering a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation in agriculture.
