GIFA ANNIVERSARY: LADY HELEN OBAREKI SUES FOR SUPPORT FROM A’IBOM WOMEN

As plans for the first anniversary of the Golden Initiative For All, GIFA, intensifies, Coordinator, office of the First Lady in Akwa Ibom State, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, has sought the support and cooperation of female Stakeholders in the state and the women, to ensure the success of the event.

Lady Helen Obareki who is also Senior Special Assistant to Governor Umo Eno, made the call on Thursday, January 23, 2025, during the January edition of the State Women Prayers, tagged ‘Greater Glory’, which was held at Government House Banquet Hall, Uyo.

Lady Obareki also hinted that the GIFA anniversary will coincide with the posthumous birthday of the First Lady, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, urging the women to be ready to celebrate the life and times of a woman she described as a mother to all.

While asking for support and prayers from the women, she prayed that participants in the service would experience greater glory in their lives and individual endeavours.

Preaching on the topic “Greater Glory,” with reference to 2nd Corinthians 3:18, Bishop Enobong Essien emphasized that greater glory leads to a deeper experience of God’s presence, intimacy, honour, distinction and favour, serving as a crucial access point for believers.

She shared several principles essential for achieving greater glory, including yielding to God, cultivating a broken heart, and fully surrendering to Him by seeking His presence through prayers and the study of the Word to ensure spiritual growth.

Bishop Essien further elaborated on the pathways to greater glory, highlighting that glory is not a static condition; rather, it represents a continuous journey towards becoming more Christlike.

The January edition of the Akwa Ibom State women’s monthly prayer had intercessory prayers, testimonies, song ministrations and special birthday thanksgiving by January-born Celebrators.
