Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, has expressed satisfaction at the pace of work at the Local Government Chairman’s lodge, Eket.
The Secretary made the remark during inspection of the ongoing construction work at the site on March 24, 2025, shortly after he represented the Governor on a condolence visit to the family of the late Barrister Umoh Ben Udowa at their residence in Eket.
During the inspection, Uwah commended the project’s resource person and urged him to deliver according to specifications.
He said the initiative was part of Governor Eno’s commitment to ensuring that local government chairmen reside within their respective jurisdictions, with similar lodges to be built in the other 30 local government areas in the State.
In the team were; Rt. Hon. Frank Archibong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Emem Bob, Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Eno Ibanga, Commissioner for Works, Rt. Hon. Iniobong Robson, Commissioner for Power, and Hon. Ikoedem Ekong, Commissioner for Labour and Manpower.
Also present were the Governor’s aides on Humanitarian Affairs, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo and Mrs. Mfon Israel.
