SUCOR FOR INI WIDOW AS GOV ENO INAUGURATES ARISE COMPASSIONATE HOME

People of Ini LGA today were in a festive mood as Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Compassionate Homes Initiative changed the story of a vulnerable widow in Ibam Obot, Mrs Alice Udo Akpan, whose thatched house was years ago blown off by a wind attack.

The Governor represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh, while presenting the house documents and business support grant of 500,000 Naira to the beneficiary promised to prioritize socioeconomic growth of Ini LGA in his ARISE Agenda.

On her part, the beneficiary, Madam Alice Udo Akpan, who was overwhelmed thanked the Governor for the kind gesture, saying “I never thought I would have a decent place to call home again. Thank you, Governor Umo Eno, for giving me a new house”.

In support of the Governor’s magnanimity, stakeholders of the area made cash donations and gifts to the beneficiary, while the Transition Committee Chairman, Hon. Inibehe Umah made a cash presentation to 100 widows as business support, to shore up economic activities in Ini.
