Alright, Uyo! This Saturday, August 9th, it’s all about making some noise as our very own Governor Eno lands for the eighth Town Square meeting! It’ll be happening at the iconic Ibom Hall grounds on IBB Way, and trust me, you don’t want to miss this spectacular shindig!
So, what’s the deal? These Town Square meetings aren’t just fluff; they’re legit chances for Gov. Eno to thank you beautiful Akwa Ibom folks for your support during the election (and after!). It’s all about throwing out those suggestions for what we want in our community, and guess what? Some of those ideas will make their way into the 2026 budget! That’s right, your voice matters, and it’s high time to shout out what we need! ✨
And speaking of good news, the governor’s got some empowerment programs in his back pocket to unveil at the meeting—just like he did at the previous seven. You know Uyo’s business savvy and political awareness are unmatched, and the plan is to give Gov. Eno a welcome like never before!
Now, here’s the kicker: the leaders just crushed it at a gathering at the Secretary to State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah’s home. The vibe around town is electric, especially with the leaders rallying together. Incredibly, they raised over N30 million in just 30 minutes to pull this event together! That’s some serious community love right there. And by the way, this whole Town Square gig is grassroots—the funds are coming from the people, NOT the government. Talk about a united front! That’s some serious community spirit!
Prince Uwah, with his usual charm, reminded us that Uyo has always been a political powerhouse in Akwa Ibom. He’s been stepping up and guiding us through these times, and he’s eager for everyone to show up to give a warm reception to the governor this Saturday.
Remember, brothers and sisters, this is an initiative by Gov. Eno to truly connect with us. The first one kicked off back in March at Abak, and we’ve got a couple more to go—Ikono/Ini and Etinan. So let’s show up, let our voices be heard, and make some unforgettable memories!
So, mark your calendars and don your best outfits! This is your chance to engage, share your thoughts, and connect with the governor. It’s a great initiative by Gov. Eno to meet us where we’re at, and we need to bring that Uyo spirit to the table! Let’s make it a day to remember!
